Renaissance of Hope
Renaissance of Hope, Inc. (ROH) is the nonprofit development arm of Straight Gate International Church (SGIC), located on the northwest side of Detroit. Its mission is to be an organization of true ministry, where divine resources meet human needs through loving channels, and to actively engage in nonprofit residential and community real estate programs for low and moderate-income people. Throughout its tenure in the community, the church has provided integral community services such as education, childcare, and food assistance. The neighborhood's Strategic Development Plan aims to build upon the history and strengths of the area by repurposing vacant buildings and lots while maximizing resources of existing spaces, organizations, and proposed projects to create a sense of ownership and pride in the neighborhood.
Jumi Consulting Group has partnered with Renaissance of Hope to manage the Detroit Home Repair Fund (DHRF) and DTE Energy Efficiency Assistance (EEA) program in the 48204 neighborhood. Jumi also provides development consulting services to assist with the predevelopment of real estate projects in the neighborhood.
